This new London skyscraper is being slammed for looking very rude from above
Take a look at London’s newest phallic symbol.
From the ground up, this sketch of a new skyscraper set to tower over London looks nothing out of the ordinary but from above, it’s a whole different story.
The £800 million glass building has been slammed online and architects have been left red-faced after the roof was compared to a set of male genitals.

Named The Spire of London, the building is set to provide luxury accommodation and will feature 67 floors but its functionality has been completely overlooked over the unfortunate design flaw.
The skyscraper will be the tallest residential building in Western Europe when it is finished, coming in at 771ft.
Designed by award-winning architects HOK, it was created with a petal-design in mind and was inspired by the Chinese cultivated flower, the orchid.
However, instead of looking like a flower in bloom, the design is instead being compared to a large phallic structure sitting high above the London skyline.
According to website Londonist, a flower definitely wouldn’t be the first thing to come to mind when passengers see the structure from above.
“If they are as infantile as us, they will see a massive dong,” they said.
Located in Hertsmere Road, adjacent to Canary Wharf, Shanghai-based construction company Greenland Group are set to take on the task of building the structure, which is scheduled to be completed by 2020.
